I wouldnt mind the nerfs half so much if they'd just take a little time to buff some of the awful skills that never see the light of day. Especially for the non-core classes, the existence of alot of dead skills rather limits your options.

I believe a series of Mesmer skills got changed so Mesmers became useless in PvE, which some people still believe.
I would rather see a Fast Casting Mesmer take down a mob with Fire Magic then an Illusion Mesmer casting half their build to degen 1 enemy.
Killing PVE skills for the sake of PVP is getting out of hand if you ask me. If they really have such a problem with this they need to put GW2 on hold and design PVP only skills for GW and leave the PVE skills the hell alone.
I don't see any PvE skills on that list. Are you fakeposting to start a flamefest?
Separate PvE and PvP skills is the only viable option, but will they take it?
If they want the game to be fair and equal in PvP and PvE it is quite simple. Make sure all classes have only skills that take the same amount of time to cast, same amount of energy to execute, deal the same amount of DPs, and prevent the same amount of damage. Then the nerf bat can rest silent forever. The only other answer at this point is get PvP out of our PvE game. They already get the most favored treatment status in skills and item stat acquisition. The can choose multiple appearances and armors at will and never have to acquire dye for anything. Then they bitch because we want our PvE game left alone.

Who gives a crap about PvP areas except PvP addicts. No, screw them. I get pissed everytime I see the Foe AI run from AoE before it even RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing hits while H/H are not allowed to move until they are half dead. I can still remember the aesthetic beauty of a Platoon of Minions, instead of these little team and squad things we are permitted now. Why is it gone? - "O dear, they like something in PvE, we must destroy it." And yes, I typically run three monks in an 8 man team, whether I am monking, henching, or working in a live party. I got to be subject to Seed of Life once, and then BAM, the Nerf bat swings and I Will Never Use that RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing stupid watered to uselessness pathetic piece of garbage for a Sunspear can't possibly ever affect PvP skill. But why should a Sunspear Skill be effective or have value to a Sunspear? Hell, we don't care about no story ambiance here. After all, it is only PvE - screw PvE right?

what usuran blessing not easy enough for the PvE crowd?
Have the damn thing. Supposed to beat Magni - it won't. Its a pain in the ass to maintain, and the only way to do so is to Leeroy with it for short intervals - then run and hide for a recharge. So, no it is not easy enough because it is not viable as a role played skill. But then what would PvP knowabout role playing outside of handcuffs in a closet? Ursan Blessing damn sure hasn't helped me heal anyone, nor does it express elemental magic, nor does it reflect Necrotic interest, - the only classes that it might fit with are Ra and Rt. But you know what Spirits spamming will beat Magni and the damned griffon - so once again we will destroy something the casual player could use to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing play the game.
and no I am not conciliatory on this issue! Ever. I am pissed enough with all the past garbage for PvP. Waa, we want as many arenas as PvE has explorable areas! Waa, we don't want to have to set foot in PvE to get our skills we want something special where we can get everything at once for all our characters and never have to pay for anything again. Waa, PvE cant benefit from this, unless they pay for it. Waa, we want special access to multiple skins that PvE has to pay 10s k for. Waa, we want all our skills to work X, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO PvE. Waa, I lost my PvP match they have to be faggots! Waa, waa, waa - well RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO PVP!
And Spazzer, there Are no PvP only skills. They cannot balance a skill without RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing with PvE.
hmm way just nerf the rit skills, maybe they should revert all skills back to their original state. Prophecies skills were balanced before factions skills came out and faction skills nerfed before Nightfall came out, and so on if they really want to do a nerf to fix the skills, the best answer is to just rebalance all skills back to the original state, and then do a nerf to fix the skills and do nerfs from there otherwise we are in an endless conflict with the meta game and skill nerfs evey other month it is becoming redundent. This is to be valid point, and to be taken serious.
I find this to be a decent idea.
Roll back all the skills in the game to what they were and rebalance them from there. :O

Could we stop the PvP vs PvE thing? Ancestors' Rage and Splinter Weapon are overpowered in PvE. 130ish AoE damage with 5 cost, .25 cast, and 8 recharge....what in the entire game is even close to that? That beats a lot of elites.
Splinter Weapon has infinite potential. Let's assume hitting 3 targets with a scythe. That is about 200-250 AoE, armor ignoring damage for 5 energy, 1 cast, and 5 recharge.
They could use a little toning down, not butchering though.

I wish they never allowed Obsidian Armor for PvP Characters, if the PvP community want Obsidian Armor, they will have to work for it, and not guess on a Tournament and get easy points!

Dude, you don't know jack. Consumables are nice as a buff, but I have all of them and rarely even use them, but what difference does it make, consumables suck if your skills suck. The game is supposed to be fun, not a chore, you want a challenge for PvP, fight with no skills at all.
You know, some people on this thread have a point.
On the Izzy issue, there isn't one. I'm sure he does his job in his 'work time' and whatever the hell he wants to in his 'own time'. Ripping into the guy for saying he plays another game is pretty poor.
As for the PvP balances affecting PvE. A really tricky issue. Don't balance for PvP and it becames stale and effectively 'ruins' PvP. Balance for PvP and you generally nerf into oblivion a lot of skills used in PvE (a good skill is a good skill in PvE and PvP generally).
The PvE only skills that were introduced to soften the blow to PvE'rs have also been hit by the nerf bat without reasons being given, which is a tad rough. I expect there to be more PvE only skills to be hit this time around as well. Couple that with the PvP balance and PvE'rs are getting shafted twice, and not so much as a whiff of a dinner first.
More so than anything, milan, PvE-only skills have served to make players who argued for separate balancing feel vindicated. Rather than soften the bickering, it has intensified it.

Xunlai House is a crap, your hardly get any points and this month you couldn't even select some of the teams including the one that won.
Also you need 1800 reward points to get a full set of FoW for a PvP not that easy. (Even more so when I keep spending them on weapons )
This update better be soon block wars is getting quite boring.
Guys (and girls) remember: The monsters feel the effect of skill rebalancing too. (Well, apart from monster-only skills.)
Seems to be a few people here that think a nerf to spirit spamming will make it harder to beat the Cold As Ice griffon - but isn't that griffon so hard to beat precisely because it's a spirit spammer itself - and therefor likely to be hit by any such nerf just as hard as the players?
As for playing other games - as long as it's in their free time, I'd expect them to play other games, so they can access other sources of inspiration rather than simply stagnating in their own juices.

Yes you're right. I know jack. What was I even thinking?
If your skills suck then maybe you're just not playing right? I'm not implying you're a crappy player by any means but maybe you're just not using viable builds. I have no problems going through PvE with ease and fun. Your logic just makes no sense. Fight without skills in PvP? WTF does that have to do with anything?

TF2 is a greatly balanced game, with great team based gameplay and unique and fun classes to play.
Guild Wars can learn a lot from it!
Territorial Control and Capture maps can work quite well in AB type situations.

That griffon is difficult (*cough*) because it is a solo fight. If it had a single healing spell (eg. Spirit Transfer), it would be impossible to beat it.
